Set up in January 2007, the ‘English Football Academy’ has already worked in over 40 schools in Preston,  Lancashire.  We take pride in the quality of the coaching we offer kids in a safe secure environment.  

Every coach working for the EFA have completed a minimum of FA level 1 in coaching football with many working for professional football clubs including Man Utd, Preston North End and Blackburn Rovers. Every coach has CRB disclosure to work with children that is updated every 12 months. 

We believe football should be available for available for everyone to play and by using strong local links to junior football teams are trying to get every child a team who wants to enjoy playing. 

EFA coaches have set up and either run or is assisting running no less than 15 football teams in different areas throughout Preston.   These teams vary in ability giving every child an opportunity to ‘Reach their maximum potential.’ 

Our coaches work within the community and have been recognised by millennium volunteers for their contributions towards junior football.  One head coach has Chris Ganner has recently accumulated an amazing 1350hours of voluntary in the community in the past 18months. 

Courses are for both boys and girls and sessions are planned so that children will play other children of similar age or ability.
